Furthermore, particles can stick together or agglomerate, thus producing incorrect counting results.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5214658 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" data-id=\"5214658\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6f03ed2 ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" data-id=\"6f03ed2\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2531f27 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"2531f27\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.pamas.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/elementor\/thumbs\/Partikelbild_-qmw2st9x4fnv8p9fcwbjh1q94sgma4173febl8cb96.png\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7c583da elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" data-id=\"7c583da\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-20a713c ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" data-id=\"20a713c\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e1e457 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2e1e457\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong><u>Verification<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p><p>To prove the above statement, the following experiment was performed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pamas.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PAMAS<\/a> laboratory using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pamas.de\/particle-counters\/products-by-name\/pamas-sbss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PAMAS SBSS<\/a> master particle counter instrument:<\/p><ul><li>Comparison Parameters: Measurement of two bottles of validated secondary calibration suspension (MTD), which were left undisturbed on the shelf for an extended period of time<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Withdrawal of samples from: Bottle 1 <u>without<\/u> preparation, Bottle 2 <u>with<\/u> preparation<\/li><li>Procedure for Bottle 1: Transfer of the top 100ml from the MTD bottle into the first sample container, transfer of the next 100ml to the second sample container and transfer of the third 100ml to the third sample container<br \/>The remaining volume was left in the original bottle.<\/li><li>Procedure for Bottle 2: Preparation was carried out by shaking the sample vigorously for 1 min, followed by placing the bottle in an ultrasonic bath for 5 min. It is then placed on a bottle roller for 15 min and after that degassed by applying vacuum. The procedure for providing the three separate 100ml samples was carried out using the same methodical steps as with Bottle 1.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Start of the measurement of the individually prepared sample containers with the following parameters: 5ml pre-run and 7x10ml measurement<\/li><\/ul><p><u><br \/><strong>A<\/strong><\/u><strong><u>ddition<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p><p>The transfer of volumes was done with the help of a syringe assembly.<br \/>Each particle measurement was performed with individually prepared subsamples to ensure uniform comparison values could be obtained. <br \/>The volumes in this measurement trial were chosen so that as much as possible of the total volume of the two original bottles was counted.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_ae_slider elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-0aaba4f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default ae-bg-gallery-type-default\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong><u>Conclusion<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p><p>In the case of Bottle 1, without the preparation of the bottle before the transfer of the individual volumes, inconsistent particle counting results are obtained depending on the volume segment used for the measurement. A statement about the composition of the total volume would be incorrect and misleading (Fig. 1).<\/p><p>In the case of Bottle 2, the individual measurement results of the samples show that if the bottle is correctly prepared before taking the samples, the particle counts remain constant, regardless of which part of the bottle is measured. A statement about the composition of the total volume would correct (Fig. 2).<\/p><p>A point to note is that the average number of particles recorded for both MTD bottles is very similar.
