Sustainability is more than just a buzzword to us – it is a commitment. At PAMAS, we focus on environmentally aware activities including recycling and upcycling in order to save resources. Below is a selection of our actions:
- Reuse of materials: We focus on reusing foils, packaging, cardboard boxes and insulation materials for shipping. This resource-saving practice helps us to minimise our ecological footprint.
- Oil recycling: The oil used for rinsing and calibration is recycled in-house at PAMAS headquarters. Through this innovative practice, we create a closed oil cycle that requires less oil for disposal and instead enables the production of new clean oil or calibration suspension fluids.
- Reusable packaging with selected suppliers: We have introduced reusable packaging for certain products, such as our display fronts. This sustainable initiative enables us to offer more environmentally friendly shipping options together with selected suppliers.
- Switching to reusable cases: Where feasible, we use reusable cases instead of disposable packaging for shipping our products, such as the Fast Patch 2GO system. This not only reduces waste, but also promotes the responsible use of packaging materials.
- Sustainable laser cabling: We also take great care and precautions in the economical use of resources when wiring our lasers. The colours left over from the cable drum are consistently reused. They are discreetly integrated into the invisible interior of our lasers. This shows that we pay attention to sustainability even in seemingly small details.
- Sensors/particle counters at a special price: In our service department, we offer refurbished sensors and particle counters at special prices for existing instrumentation. These products are refurbished and given a second chance, which not only makes economic sense to our customers but also ecological sense to the environment.
Here are some outstanding examples of creative upcycling of PAMAS materials:
For example, a chicken coop was built from a PAMAS AS3 packaging box:
The mouldings from the base frame of a PAMAS AS3 now serve as installation rails for a photovoltaic system:
Even damaged or discarded front panels find a second use as shelf inserts:
These examples illustrate our commitment to the environmental protection and the sustainable use of resources. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@pamas.de or visit our website www.pamas.de.
